Because of its 70 houses dating back to Bulgarian Revival times the village of Dolen is listed as a cultural-historic reserve. The village is located in the West Rhodope, 26 km from Gotse Delchev. A part of this architectural reserve is Sharkovata kashta, which at present is entirely renovated to respond to the modern requirements for a comfortable stay, while at the same time is authentic Revival spirit is preserved. At Sharkovata kashta may stay up to fifteen guests in several cozy and bright rooms with mew furniture in the old Bulgarian style, heating and TV sets. All rooms share one bathroom. A spacious tavern is available for the guests of Sharkovata kashta. It has three halls with a total capacity of 50 seats and offers traditional Bulgarian dishes as well as specialties prepared according to the taste and wish of the guests. Adjoining the tavern there is a fully equipped kitchen, which the guests may use to cater for themselves. Under a shelter in the garden is provided a barbecue a dining corner. The large garden with exotic plants offers lots of nooks for rest and entertainment.
