It is located just above the town of Gurkovo in Stara Planina on the southern side of the Pass of the Republic. The region around Short Stay Holiday Base Paisiy is very suitable for eco tourism and biking, skiing, mountain trekking (eco trails Lyava reka and Predela), hunting and fishing (Dam Jrebchevo), religious tourism. Close to the base in the Lazova locality along the river of the same name is created a nice area for outdoor recreation with a zone for tents, barbecue, large gazebo with tables and benches, children's playground.
